Virginia Yolanda Tambini Reese Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

The world lost some sparkle on April 21, 2022 with the passing of Virginia Yolanda Tambini Reese at the age of 99. Virginia spent most of her life in Brooklyn and Queens, NY, where she married her late husband Larry Tambini and raised their three children. After being widowed for many years she moved to Florida where she met and married her husband Gene Reese. She is survived by her husband Gene Reese, her sister Mafalda Lezzo and her children Janet Balsamo and her husband Don from Long Island, NY, Virginia Tambini Handerhan and her husband James from Needham, MA and Larry Tambini and his wife Linda from Oldsmar, Fl. She leaves 5 adoring grandchildren Maria McNamara, Lauren Costanza, Larry Handerhan, Danielle Tambini and Kristen Atwood and 6 great grandchildren Joseph, Ryan and Ella Costanza, Michael and Justin McNamara and Nora Atwood and many nieces and nephews. Virginia retired from Macy’s at 70 after spending 20 years in the fragrance department where she honed her sense of style and fostered her love of fashion. At retirement, she joined many social clubs at Top of the World where she was known for her friendly smile and engaging sense of humor. Virginia will be remembered for her immense love for her family and her overall love of life. A memorial service will be held at The Holy Apostles Church at 1605 Pinehurst Rd, Dunedin on April 27th at 3:00. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
