Timothy Shawn Geary Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Timothy Shawn Geary, 53, of Tampa, Florida, died unexpectedly February 1, 2021 at his home. Tim was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Leo and Dorothy (Obrycki) Geary. He attended North Allegheny High School and then went on to study Electrical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. At a young age, Tim enjoyed taking apart electronics for the challenge of putting them back together. His parents knew computers were in his future and he had a successful career at several IT companies. Tim cherished his times with his niece and nephew and how they loved their Uncle Timmy. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Pittsburgh sports fan. You would often find Tim on the water fishing with his best friends. Tim is survived by his father, Leo “Lee” Geary of Atlanta, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Lori (Geary) and Robert Talbert of Atlanta, Georgia; niece Alexandra Talbert; nephew Beckett Talbert; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (Obrycki) Geary. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan.
