Nicholas N. Spinos

August 6, 1938 - March 26, 2022

Nicholas N Spinos Sr passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Athens, Greece, he was the son of Nikitas and Olga Spinos. He was predeceased by a brother, Dionysus Spinos. He leaves behind his loving wife, Maria "Mary" of 60 years, his son, Nicholas Spinos Jr and daughter in law Kim, his daughter, Theodora "Dorie" Carey and son in law Christopher, his grandchildren, Stephanie Holmes (Matt), Stacy Spinos, Haley and Zoey Carey, and great grandson, Brady Holmes. He also leaves behind a sister in law, Toula Hieneman, her husband Ken, and cousins, Mike and Katina Mantzakos, as well as many other extended family and friends. Nicholas immigrated to the United States in 1958. He married Maria in 1961 and raised their family in Syracuse NY until retiring in Clearwater FL. Nicholas was a successful businessman in Syracuse, first opening Aster Ice Cream, then Alpha restaurant, Gus' Sandwich and Nikos Deli. Nicholas will be remembered as a strong, hardworking man with a kind, loving, generous heart and an infectious sense of humor. All who knew him, loved him. We will always love you!
