Marianne Meichenbaum Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marianne Meichenbaum, age 80, died unexpectedly on April 21, 2022. Marianne was born on July 1, 1941, to the late Lillian and Louis Pizzo of Clark Summit, PA. Marianne is the beloved wife of Donald Meichenbaum (married 56 years); devoted mother of Lauren (Karen Chapple), Shelly, David (Andrea), and Dan (Dawn); cherished grandmother of Anna, Owen, and Lia Meichenbaum; Brayden and Cayden Chapple; Ben and Reid Meichenbaum; and dearest sister to Lois (Bob) Williamson. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind many heartbroken friends in Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada, New York, Cape Cod, and Florida. Marianne’s love of theater introduced her to her “other families”, including the cast and crew members she performed with throughout her lifetime in various locations. From her teen years as a dancer and worldly travels with the Cass sisters, to her time with NYC Rockettes, Marianne could be found livening up any stage she graced with her quick wit, lively spirit, and never-ending energy. She was also a dedicated member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Musical Productions, Drayton Festival Theatre, Early Bird Dinner Theatre, Francis Wilson and the Carrollwood Players. In addition to her passions of family and theatre, Marianne loved tennis, cooking, knitting, playing pool, yoga, travelling, playing games, drinking her special coffees, and gardening. Marianne was a loved, loyal and empathetic friend to so many, near and far. The close relationships she formed along the way are a testament to her generosity and caring spirit.
