    Kenneth Johnson

    November 13, 1962 - March 22, 2022

Kenneth Rudolph Johnson, Born in Chicago November 13, 1962, passed away at the age of 59, March 22,2022. Ken was one of seven siblings. He was preceded in death by his younger brother Greg and survived by brothers Wayne, Dale, Jeffery, David and sister Linda, twelve nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces. Ken’s family and friends will join together for an inurnment and celebration of life at a later date. Eulogy Kenneth R. Johnson was born in Chicago November 13, 1962, the sixth child of Gunnar & Theresa. Kens sister remembers the night Ken was born, being woken by their father to announce, "another boy" #5. Ken was surrounded by lots of love, laughter, sharing, learning and of course the "occasional" sibling fight over who got to watch their favorite tv program, or whose turn it was to wash dishes. Ken had a pretty full, busy childhood, being the youngest for most of his childhood, he was spoiled for sure. If you played games with him, he didn't take losing well, so Mom would purposely lose so that we didn't have to see Ken pout. Ken graduated from Tarpon Springs high school and went on to earn a diploma from Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute in Electro-Mechanical Technology. Ken was recruited by Jabil and enjoyed working for them for many years. Ken than moved on to work for ADP Total Source until his unfortunate stroke. Ken often talked about how much he loved his job. He was able to travel internationally, having some great experiences and a lot of happy memories. Ken always enjoyed being with the family, whether it was getting together on poker nights, or gathering for birthdays, or to celebrate the arrival of a new niece or nephew, he added joy and laughter to all family gatherings. Later on when all of the siblings were grown and raising kids, Ken would spend much of his time visiting Mom and Dad. He loved to harass Dad (pay back), about something silly. Ken spend many Christmas eve's helping Mom prepare for the evenings gathering of family, happy to get his hands into the Swedish meatballs, the rice pudding, and for sure the Glug making with Dad, willing to sample, also drinking some of Dads Icehouse, knowing that would get a rise out of Dad, of course this was all out of Love and respect. Christmas gatherings will not be the same without our younger brother. We cant forget to mention Ken’s passion for the magical world of Disney. For most of his adult life Ken would spend his down time at Disney, walking through the countries of Epcot enjoying the tastes of life in another world, his favorite being the English Gardens, while listening to the Fab 4 performances. We all have those memories of Ken to cherish for our lifetime. Ken sadly suffered for to many years after his stroke at such a young age. We miss our younger brother terribly, we do not miss seeing him in pain. We choose to remember the good times Ken, we miss & love you.
