Juana Irene Irwin "Juanita"

Juana “Juanita” Irene Irwin, of Clearwater, Florida died at home on November 30th, 2021, with her daughters at her side. During her final battle with cancer, she was surrounded by her children and their spouses: Christine Ainsworth (Forrest), Sandra Hoolihan (Sean); and her grandchildren: Caitlyn Hoolihan, Aidan Hoolihan, Brody Hoolihan and Felicity Ainsworth. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Michael K. Irwin. Juana was born in Laredo, Texas on August 21st, 1943, to Antonio Tamez and Aurelia Padilla Tamez. She met Mike in Laredo and they moved to several U.S. duty points including New York City, Niagara Falls, New York, Charlotte, North Carolina, Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She devoted her life to her family, volunteering for the Catholic Church and serving others. She was known for her love of God, family and she enjoyed ballroom dancing later in life. Besides her children and grandchildren, Juana is survived by her older brother, Raymond Tamez of San Antonio, Texas, several nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many friends. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, in Clearwater Florida, on December 31st, 2021, at 11AM.
