May 21, 1936 - September 10, 2021
Our wonderful and loving family leader, Joseph Francis Daley, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2021, at 11:06 PM. After a short battle with multiple health issues, he is in Heaven with our beautiful mother, Ann. They are together again and looking over all of us now. Joe was a giving, caring, loving person, who welcomed everyone into his home and life. Joe was the life of the party, the MC and the first one to grab the microphone to make a speech that would make you feel happy, important, and included. Joe was born in Flatbush, Brooklyn on May 21, 1936. Joe is the son of Martin Daley and Margaret Maloney/Daley. He was one of 7 children, whose family did not have much money but had more love to give. The Daley’s are a very special family! Joe is predeceased by his loving and faithful wife, Ann, his father Martin, his mother Margaret, his brothers Marty (Joan), Francis (Ro), Jerry (Rita) and his sister Margaret (Frank). Joe is survived by his loving brothers Kenneth (Patricia), John (Auntie Lynn), and brother-in-law Davey Higgins (Vera). Joe leaves behind his favorite four children, Joe (Tina), Annmarie, Martin (Lisa) and Danny (Karen). Joe loved and adored every one of his 17 Doodleloops (grandchildren): Steven (Ashley), James (Josalyn), Jason (Laura), Corinne (Colton), Jamie (David), Danny, Jade, Alyssa, Madison, Brooke, Kyle (Kaila), Sehjin, Haile, Tyler, Alexa (Alex), Arielle and Ian (Nurije) and his sweetest great-grandchildren, Cameron, Joseph, and Nicholas. A fond memory of all his Doodleloops was bouncing along and singing to Pony Boy on his knee (whooooa). He enjoyed and loved numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren (some with the official title and even more that he took under his wing). He was a second father to many. He gave love and special nicknames to family and friends, touching their hearts in a very special way, giving that person something to always remember him by. He truly loved his family and the joy they brought him every day. Ann was the love of his life for 62 years of marriage, they are literally the best love story ever. This love story includes Joe dropping Ann off at the maternity ward to deliver a child, while he ran off to a softball game, bowling tournament or to umpire a Little League game. Joe was a gifted athlete, who received a scholarship to Bishop Laughlin High School in Brooklyn for basketball and baseball. Joe instilled his love of sports in all 4 of his children. He was able to coach his children and show them the meaning of sportsmanship and being a respectful player. Joe was a hard worker and a do the “right thing” guy ALL his life. He was a dependable blood donor who donated every 8 weeks, and he would have given more if they would allow it. Joe was an active member of the Briar Creek Homeowner’s Association and Eagle Lake Community, holding numerous positions. He was also thoroughly involved in the Equitable Life Assurance retirees club where he held onto many friendships and special relationships. Joe touched many lives and had many friends; he was that guy! In lieu of flowers the family would like you to pay it forward, as Joe always did, or donate in Joe's honor to the Tunnel To Towers Foundation online at t2t.org/donate.
