James Lind Hutton

November 24, 1930 - January 24, 2022

James Lind Hutton, 91 of Clearwater passed away peacefully at Regency Oakes on January 24th, 2022. Jim was born in Winnipeg, MB Canada on November 24th, 1930. Jim is survived by his son Lind Hutton, daughter Cathy Chayka, Cathy’s husband Mark and grandson James Tyler Hutton. Jim grew up in Winnipeg, MB Canada where he lived in the same neighborhood as his late beloved wife Shirley of 67 years. A chain of events had Jim enlisting in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, followed by his marriage to Shirley on August 7, 1952. After his discharge in 1955, they settled in Michigan to begin a civilian life. They decided to move to Dunedin, Florida in 1985 where Jim founded a technology company and where eventually Lind and Cathy joined him. Jim loved being with his family and friends whether it be traveling or entertaining. He had a true passion for reading and art. He also took up golf, skiing, sailing and fly fishing. Services will be private, however a celebration of his life for family and friends will be announced soon. He will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in James’s name is preferred.
