Hoda Mikhail Youssef Fares, 91, was born in Zaytoon, Cairo, Egypt on August 6, 1930, the youngest of four siblings. Hoda excelled academically and planned to become a physician from a young age. She spoke French with native fluency which would serve her well in her travels around the world. She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Nagib Fares, until her death on February 25, 2022. She graduated from University of Alexandria Medical School in 1959. She juggled her career while raising three children in a whirlwind life of global adventure. She made friends everywhere she went with charm, beauty, and grace. She maintained lifelong friendships with some of her medical school classmates. She championed her daughter Iman & husband Nabil Badir and beloved grandson John Michael Badir, son Ramy & wife Julie, and son Bassel. She generously donated her time and energy helping many others with their health care and education. She mentored and supported friends and relatives near and far and propelled them to full and successful lives. She is deeply loved, fondly remembered, and greatly missed.
