Frances M. Fletcher

December 31, 1931 - March 25, 2022

Frances Hawes Fletcher of Clearwater, Florida passed away peacefully while at home on March 25, 2022 at the age of 90 years. She was born December 31, 1931 in Albion, Michigan to Thelma and Paul Hawes. She attended Michigan State University where she got her BFA. She taught art in public schools for many years and later had an award winning stained glass business. For 29 years she traveled all over Florida participating in some of the best art shows in the country. She was married to Thomas H Fletcher in August of 1956. They shared 56 wonderful years together living one adventure after another. They spent most of their retirement boating and traveling the country. She will be remembered for her artwork, love for playing tennis and the ability to light up a room with her humor and vibrant personality. She had a true love for life and people. Family and friends have mentioned that they will always remember her infectious laugh and the many family songs she used to sing. She will be forever lovingly remembered by her daughters, Susan Gentry and Sandra Fletcher, and her granddaughter, Katelyn Gentry. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Fletcher and her sister Beverly Sebastian. A private family service will be held at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor, Florida on March 31, 2022, where she will be laid to rest next to her adoring husband.
