Diane D Jackson (Dickinson) Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jackson, Diane (Nee Dickinson) 79 passed away peacefully at Morton Plant Hospital on May 31, 2022. Born in Cincinnati OH in 1942 Diane was the daughter of Neil Dickinson and Luella Gilbert Dickinson. She graduated from James Madison College where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She was employed as a manager at the IRS Headquarters in Washington DC for her entire career and retired after 30 years. Diane is survived by her loving spouse Melvin Jackson; and step-sons Mark and Eric Jackson, her brother Dean C. Dickinson; and her sister-in-law Patricia. She is also survived by her nephew Dean K. Dickinson, niece Lisa Dickinson-Carkuff, nephew Paul Dickinson, niece Donna Converse, niece Mary Jo Lakomski, and many great-nephews and nieces. Diane is preceded in death by her loving parents Neil and Luella Dickinson. Diane’s immense love of life and everything beautiful was contagious. She and her beloved husband Mel travelled the world on cruise ships for many years and enjoyed the extraordinary companionship of countless friends. An avid gardener, she also loved playing bridge with friends. On June 7, 2022, a visitation will be held at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens from 10:30 to 11:30 with a celebration of life service at 11:30. Diane will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Diane’s honor to a charity of your choosing.
